Three hundred and sixty-six days (yes, one day over a year) after the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! the Chevelle’s new engine has been bolted in place.
This includes the transmission, which was much harder than anything else because
reasons
. I am very happy to see this finally sitting in place. Next step is to torque down the long list of bolts which are snug but not tight (pretty much everything that holds the engine/trans in), then generally rebuild the whole car around the engine.

While the goal was to have it on the road about 6 months ago, there is a hard deadline in a little under 3 months which it
needs
to be able to drive itself out of the garage and across town because
reasons which Oppo doesn’t know about yet
.

I wish that when I did the engine rebuild with my Eagle that I stripped the front end like that. So much room. So open. Knuckles so saved. Ratchet accessible ....

The accessibility is nice; in order to do all the other work it needed, the whole thing had to come apart anyways so I might as well put it together as easily as possible!

Awesome! It's starting to look like a car-like substance again!

It is slowly coming together. I wanted to have the engine in before the end of the year, so that’s one goal met for once.
